About us
| Hmm, I better tell
you something about
the 2-legged famely
behind the BON
VITALIS name. Hans Christian(called Kedde) and I(Connie) meet the 18. September 1989 and married the 29. February 1992 - and remarried the 28. August 2004, 12½ years after we were there the first time - true love never die. :-) The 26. November 1991 our daugther Lea was born, she is and will always be The best we ever breed.. :-) In 1995 our first Dogue de Bordeaux - Henry Von Nordniedersachsen - was born, and our life will never be the same again.
Beside Dogues
Kedde and Lea are
very active in
DGI-Tabletennis,
both with several
winning titels as
Country Champion and
Regions Champion
several years in a
row.
My big interest beside the dogs is my camera, I never get tired of making pictures mostly of the dogs, as you clearly can see all over our webpage. I have been a dogperson all my life, from working by a Vet, and by a dogtrainer of Hounting dogs, and been Kennelhelper and showhelper by several breeders before we jumped into becomming breeders ourself.
Yes, we are a
Kennel, - Is a Kennel a place with a lot of dogs in pens and crates? - Or is a Kennel a family with a passion?? We don't crate
our dogs - they live
all together with us
in the house - Yes,
they are allover -
Reason # 1 to be a Kennel: You get the right to have your own FCI-Kennelname - Bon Vitalis - Nobody else can ever name their dogs that. So when you see the Bon Vitalis name, it has to be a dog from us, and that feeling makes us very proud. We haven't breed dogs before - "only" had them as Pal/friends. But when we lost our hearts to the Dogue de Bordeaux we felt that this truely was our breed, and a breed were we can make a positive difference during the years. It is very important for us, that we keep being dog-owner/fancier/lovers, that we never will turn into a breeding factory/puppymill. And that we never looses interest or contact with our puppies - also when they hopefully turn 12 years old. Most of the people that bought a puppy here, we still keep a very close contact to - That way we often can see how our offspring turn out, and we can help people out, if they have ANY questions or problems regarding the dogs. In our breeding
we don't use
insemination, only
the "old fashion way"
:-) We try to keep and breed them as natural as they can be, without loosing the FCI-Standart of sight for a second. Before a puppy leaves here, our Vet has been checking it out.(nobody want a unhealthy puppy). We don't breed just to breed - but to make better Dogues, not just more Dogues. At shows all over the world we often see several of our Dogues enter, and no matter who of them is winning - we win every time a Bon Vitalis Dogue win. Because they will always be our babies. And it makes us very proud to see how many International Breeders that have chosen a Bon Vitalis Dogue in their breedingprogram. So if we don't have a puppy for you the day you want it - to bad, but we are sure that a Bon Vitalis Dogue is worth waiting for.
